We use only high grade quality materials in making our products. We use IC CF8 or CF8M casting material for actuator bodies and caps & racks. For pinions, we use AISI S.S. 304 or S.S. 316 and the seals are available in Buna-N and Viton. We tested each actuator before delivery to ensure the quality of the product.
The ATEX, SIL-3, and CE-certified rotary actuator required dry or lubricated compressed air to operate. It requires 2~8 Bar air supply pressure for double acting and spring return. The standard operating temperature -20°C to 80°C with NBR ‘O’ ring and for high temperature Viton ‘O’ ring, it can sustain -15°C to 150°C temperature. For low temperature -35°C to 80°C is also available with a Silicon ‘O’ ring.
It is recommended that periodic checks be performed to make sure that all fasteners remain tight.
The actuator is supplied ready-lubricated. No further lubrication is required.
On spring return actuators, spring fatigue may set in requiring the replacement of the spring. Spring should always be replaced in full sets.
Under certain working conditions like Heavy Duty, non-compatible operating media, or abnormal operating conditions, internal seals should be checked periodically and replaced when necessary.

This pneumatic double-acting actuator requires normal air pressure from 4Kg/cm² (alt+0178 for ²) to a maximum 8Kg/cm² air supply. With this air supply, it can generate up to 13673 NM torque.
Mechanism of Double Acting Pneumatic Actuator
With the help of piston-connected racks, the center rod connected pinion rotates on its axis. When the pressurized air enters the chamber from port – 1, the piston pushes forward and the connected rack rotates the central pinion. To get the earlier position, pneumatic air enters from port -2 and pushes back the piston to its earliest position. Hence the piston-connected rack moves backward and also rotates the pinion. In rack & pinion transmitted double acting pneumatic actuators do not use springs like single-acting pneumatic actuators. The double-acting actuators required air supply twice to complete one cycle. As a result, these actuators provide full control over the connected valve.
Uses of Double Acting Actuator
The Double Acting Pneumatic Actuators provide 90° and 180° Rotation. These actuators are very friendly and widely used to operate quarter-turn valves. Where huge pressure is required to open or close the flow line for a long time, these actuators are ideal for that. To control flammable gas pipelines or refineries remotely, these actuators are the best fit as they provide spark-free transmission.

1. . Actuator is suitable for coarse – fine adjustment, typically forbatching operations or processes.
2. The Actuator has to be Double Acting.
3. The repeatability is 100% since stopping is by mechanicalstoppers. It is suitable for application calling for the precise fine-coarse adjustment like liquid filling system.
4. The Actuator can be switched to one, position from any otherposition very easily with the solenoid control. The 3rd positionis achieved by the mechanical stopping of the piston movement,in the return stroke by pneumatic stopper pistons.
5. The Intermediate position is present at 20% opening. Theopening can be adjusted as required by the set screw. This is field adjustable.
6. Actuator as a standard, works in reverse action, as opposed toconventional configuration i.e. piston inward stroke opens thevalve, and piston outward stroke closes the valve.
7. The End Stops (+/- 5°) are provided on the closing and openingside of the Actuator for setting valve closing precisely.
